This site is for the use of everyone interested in learning more about the Town of Guilderland and the Guilderland Democratic Committee.
Right now, we are actively engaged in the opening stages of the 2010 campaign season for the upcoming County, State, and National Office Elections; thus, much of the information you will find on our site is focused on helping each of our Democratic Party’s designated Candidates win election to the offices that they have been nominated for.
As our Website continues to evolve, we hope that you will come to view it as one of your primary resources for learning many important things about the Town of Guilderland. The Guilderland Democrats are a diverse and active group of Town residents who have dedicated themselves to promoting the open involvement of its members, as well as other Town residents in our political activities and efforts.
Some of our Town Committee’s key platform issues include: controlling growth, protecting the quality of our neighborhoods, providing a high level of public safety, promoting fiscal responsibility in Town budgeting, and insuring that our Town’s well known high quality of life is maintained.
In the fall of 2010, Guilderland residents will be going to polls to vote for a number of County, State, and National Offices. There is a strong list of Democratic Candidates running and number of Democratic Primaries.
Due to the Special Election for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Senator Gillibrand, this is the first time since the ratification of the 17th Amendment in 1913 that all of New York's six statewide offices will be up for popular election on the same date. This will coincide with the election of all 29 members from New York of the House of Representatives, and all 212 members of the New York State legislature, and also when many other elections will be held.

The Guilderland Democractic Committee has gathered information for these different races to help you, the Guilderland Voter, decided which candidate will best represent the interests of Guilderland, Albany County, and the State of New York.
Your participation in this mid-term election is critical. Turn out for mid-term elections is typically low, so your vote means even more than in these elections!
