Welcome to Our Town,
Guilderland, New York

Welcome to our town, Guilderland, NY, and your town too hopefully!
The Guilderland Democractic Committee takes great pride in our town and works hard to make it a great place to live for everyone regardless of your policital persuasion.
The town of Guilderland was formally established in 1803. Prior to that, the Mohican and Mohawk Indians used the clear waters of the Normanskill to fish and barter downstream at the Dutch Trading post near Fort Orange (Albany).
Today, Guilderland is a thriving, well-managed township with an eye towards maintaining and improving our current lifestyle through sustainable means and good government with an active Democratic majority leadership on the Town Board.
