A Record of Accomplishment
- Advocated for the construction of a new, modern nursing home while promoting in-home care to allow more seniors to stay in their homes.
- Supported the 2011 budget that decreased the County Executive’s proposed tax increase by 66% and saved 485 jobs from elimination.
- Sponsored legislation to ban sippy cups and bottles made with the toxic chemical Bisphenol A.
- Led the fight to save the Women’s Crime Victims Center from closure and secured grants for domestic violence prevention programs.
