The Highway Department provides for public safety and maintenance of 163 miles of Town highways. 

Highway Department provides the following services:  Bag & Brush Pickup, Road Surface Treatments, Drainage Improvements, Reconstruction of Roadways,
Cutting Trees, Brush & Maintaining Right of Way, Fall Leaf Vacuum, Snow
Plowing, Sanding & Salting, Traffic Control Devices, Road Striping & Sidewalk Maintenance.

And of course, the Town Highway Superintendent is the person repsonsible for making sure it all happens on time and in budget.
