Picks Town Candidates at Caucus
Last night the Guilderland Democratic Party picked it's candidates at the Democratic Town Caucus. The caucus was held in the large pavillion of the Tawasentha Town Park, one of Guilderland's crown jewels.
All of the Guilderland Democratic Commitee's proposed canidates were selected without any opposition. In the picture below from left to right are: Ken Runion for Town Supervisor, John Bailey for Town Justice, Rosemary Centi for Town Clerk, Allen Maikels for Town Board, Brian Forte for Town Board, and Charlie Cahill for Town Highway Superintendent. Standing with them on the right are Judges Raymond Elliott and Thomas Breslin, both of whom are running for the Third Judicial Department of the New York State Supreme Court.

Guilderland Town Attorney Richard Sherwood was in the background waiting to provide notarized certificatation.
Also attending the event this year was Kathleen Digan, Vice-Chair of Albany County Democrats (no picture available), Congressman Paul Tonko. Congressman Tonko is picutured here with Judges Thomas Breslin and Raymond Elliott, who as noted above are both running for the New York State Supreme Court Third Department.
The Annual Guilderland Democratic Picnic the caucus. The picnic happens every year on the fourth Thursday of the month, usually the same evening as the last Town Concert in the Park. The caucus, of course, only happens in the odd number years when there are town electons.
