Guilderland Town Board

The Guilderland Town Board is the governing, legislative and policy making body of the town government. The board consists of four Town Board Members and the Town Supervisor. They approve the budget and vote on appropriations throughout the year. They also determine "Town Laws" and appoint officials to various other boards within the Town as well as serve as liaisons to the various departments within town government.
Each member of the Town Board serves a four year term, with the exception of the Town Supervisor who serves a two year term. Two of the four seats on the Town Board are up for election every other year. Currnenty the board consists of 3 Democrats (including the Town Supervisor) and 2 Republicans, and the seats held by the 2 republicans will be up for election in the Fall of 2011.
The Democratic Guilderland Town Board Members are Supervisor Kenneth Runion, Councilwoman Patricia Slavick, and Councilman Paul Pastore.
The Guilderland Town Board holds a public meeting twice a month (see town calendar) and can also be viewed live during those meetings on Cable Channel 17 (Public Access Television).
